VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Hoosick Falls Central School varsity field hockey team’s run at the New York Class-C state championship game was sliced short on Friday. The Panthers (19-3) were defeated by Port Jefferson, 2-1, in the Class-C state semifinals at Vestal High School. There’s never really a good time for the New York Jets to face the Patriots. Since Bill Belichick became New England’s coach in 2000, the Jets are 7-13 against their rivals from Foxborough.
