Offense struggling to begin season

BENNINGTON — Early in the 2016 campaign, the Post 13 baseball team's nemesis has been the third inning. In their opener against Bellows Falls, they allowed five runs in that frame. On Thursday night, Brattleboro Post 5 put up three in that inning en route to a 4-1 win at Mount Anthony Union High School.

Locals to compete at Twin State Lax
06/24/2016 07:10 AM EDT - BENNINGTON — This Saturday, the Twin State girls lacrosse game between Vermont and New Hamphsire will be played at Hanover High School. Being chosen to play on the Vermont team in the contest were Mount Anthony players Bridget Ahean and Claire Taub. Another local athlete selected to play in the game was Aggie Bisselle from Burr and Burton Academy. Full Story

Southern Vermont Storm cancels 2016 season

Last week, the Storm decided to forgo their 2016 season because low player participation rate during the first two months of practices. Cambridge grad Saunders up for NCAA honor
06/23/2016 06:58 AM EDT - CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. — Cambridge Central School grad Skyler Saunders finished his four-year lacrosse career at New England College in style, racking up nearly 50 goals and 100 points in his senior season. Now, Saunders has been nominated for the NCAA's Man of the Year award. Saunders led the New England College lacrosse team to two NCAA tournament appearances in 2014 and 2016. Full Story

Former MAU coach hosting local lax camp

Former coach Paul Reif came back to Bennington this week from his assistant coaching gig at the University of Arizona and is hosting his first college-style camp at Willow Park for local lacrosse players.
