BURLINGTON -- The Mount Anthony Union High School varsity boys and girls indoor track & field teams finished with a strong showing at the Vermont State Championships in Burlington on Saturday. Both Patriot teams gave a solid effort to garnish the most points and best places in recent years, despite only 18 girls and 12 boys competing.   Full Story
 
WINDSOR -- The Burr and Burton Academy boys varsity basketball team won its 13th game of the season on Monday, with a 64-41 victory over Windsor. Chris Antonez led the Bulldogs (13-4) with a game-high 20 points, followed by Shane Quintana (10). Windsor (6-10) was paced by Tanner Dana’s 14-point performance.   Full Story
 
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- If the United States Olympic moguls team is worried about the conditions at Cypress Mountain, it doesn’t show. Trucks and helicopters were still dumping snow onto Cypress Mountain on Monday in an effort to get the Olympic venues ready for the Vancouver Games, which open Friday.   Full Story

The Saints’ Super Bowl victory was a prayer answered in this struggling city, and New Orleans itself seemed different for it.
