Worship at Second Congo
BENNINGTON >> Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, welcomes all people of faith or in search of faith to its work and worship. Sunday morning worship begins at 10 o'clock, and this week begins with "Here I Am, Lord" played by the Jubellaire Ringers. We will share "Epiphany Moments," times when we've glimpsed or experienced the Holy breaking into our lives, and then children up through grade 5 are dismissed for Godly Play and the Middle- and High-school Class meets. The Rev. Mary Lee-Clark's sermon, based on the reading from Luke, is entitled, "Pushed to the Limits." Nursery care is provided throughout worship.
A time of fellowship and refreshment follows for the whole church family in Webster Hall. Eaarth Advocates meet at 11:30 in the Clayton Room.

Annual Meeting Sunday at St. Peter's
BENNINGTON >> The Rev. Justin Lanier will preside as St. Peter's Episcopal Church celebrates the Eucharist on Annual Meeting Sunday, Jan. 31, at one service at 9 a.m. The Gospel for this day will be Luke 4:21-30.
The annual meeting will be after the service in the parish hall. The meeting will include the reports of the different ministries of St. Peter's as well as a vote on vestry members and convention delegates and alternates. We will enjoy the company of one another and a light lunch.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, Lanier will conduct Evening Prayer and Contemplative Prayer from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

'Hard to Hear' at the Federated Church
EAST ARLINGTON >> Even if church isn't usually your thing, consider yourself invited to the Federated Church of East Arlington on Ice Pond Road for the 10 a.m. Service of Worship on this final day of January. There will coffee waiting when you arrive as well as a warm welcome whether you're from down the street, a few towns away or just visiting the area. This Sunday's service will focus on the message of love found in 1 Corinthians 13 as well as Luke's take in the 4th chapter on how those who know Jesus feel about his teachings in the synagogue. The message from the Rev. Kathy Clark is titled, "Hard to Hear." Church school for children ages 3 to 11 years old will be held in the Methodist Church building as a new unit begins on the topic of "People Who Made a Difference." The choir will offer their gift of music under the direction and accompaniment of Mary Edwards. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow the service in Bailey Hall.
Senior meals are served on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon in Bailey Hall. The Federated Church of East Arlington is a local church in covenant and connection with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Worship in North Bennington
NORTH BENNINGTON >> The North Bennington Congregational Church welcomes everyone to its 11 a.m. worship service led by the Rev. Penny Rich Smith. The sermon, "How Big Is God's Love?" will be based on Jeremiah 1:4-10, Luke 4:21-30 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-7, 13. There will be a children's time, after which Sunday School classes will meet for pre-school through grade 8.
Everyone is invited to stay for coffee hour and a time of fellowship following the service.
