BURLINGTION, VT -- Candidate for Vermont governor Scott Milne today announces his campaign will be managed by Brent D. Burns, an experienced leader, problem solver, and U.S. Army veteran.

"Brent's leadership, work ethic, and experience will be a great asset in building the team we need to run a competitive race." said Milne. "I am thrilled to have Brent as our campaign manager."

Prior to joining the Milne for Vermont campaign, Burns served as the Political Director for the Vermont Republican State Committee where his primary focus was recruiting and training candidates to run for elected office.

"I am honored to be asked to lead Milne for Vermont and am looking forward to running a positive, competitive, and unconventional campaign", said Burns.

As an Army ROTC cadet and student, Burns was selected to attend Special Warfare School, Eisenhower Leadership Development Program, Student Conference on National Affairs, and served as Director of Communications for the Student Senate.

After college, Burns worked as a political consultant for U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. After the 2008 elections, Burns enlisted in the U.S. Army, spending four years working on Department of Defense satellite communications systems.
