LUNENBURG (AP) - Concerns about flooding in northern New England are growing as more rain comes to the region.
The entire state of Maine is under a flood watch through Wednesday evening, but some areas of New Hampshire and Vermont are already under a flood warning.
Forecasters say rain is expected to arrive overnight and continued Tuesday.
Minor to moderate flooding was already expected along the Connecticut River near Wells River, Vt. and West Lebanon, N.H. and for the portion of the river near Lunenburg, Vt., and Dalton, N.H. The warning affects portions of Essex, Windsor, Orange and Caledonia counties in Vermont and Coos and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire.
