Let me rephrase that
This is to correct a misstatement I made in Monday’s column, NBGS Makes No Sense. I wrote, "Children from outside the district may attend North Bennington school if their parents pay the per pupil cost to operate the school to North Bennington."
It should be, "Children from outside the district may attend North Bennington school if the school district of residence pays the tuition in an agreement with the North Bennington school district."

Hoping for a gubernatorial face-off here
The "Bennington Tonight" show on CAT-TV and the Bennington Banner are teaming up with the in an attempt to bring a gubernatorial debate with Gov. Peter Shumlin and Republican candidate Randy Brock to Bennington.
Mr. Brock said he welcomes the opportunity and has reserved Oct. 11 or Oct. 17, whichever is more convenient for the governor. WCAX-TV will also participate through reporter Susie Stiemle acting as moderator.
Let’s hope this can arranged, as it will be an informative event for Bennington and the surrounding area.

Bennington Wrong author, again!
Contrary to the name printed below the title in Wednesday’s excellent Health Matters column about spine surgery, it was not written by me. Fortunately, the author’s name and position were printed at the end of the column.
However, as a former chair of the Bennington Energy Committee and writer for the Energy Matters column, I would be happy to give readers personal information about alternative energy systems for their home or business -- specifically, whole-house pellet boilers, tracking photovoltaic systems, hot water solar, and geothermal energy systems.
