BENNINGTON -- Oldcastle Theatre Company at 331 Main Street in downtown Bennington is staging "My Fair Lady," with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe.
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw’s play and Gabriel Pascal’s motion picture "Pygmalion". Directed by Frank Latson, an Oldcastle veteran, with Musical Direction by Tim Howard; My Fair Lady features Scott McGowan as the pompus Henry Higgins, Richard Howe as the loveable Alfred P. Doolittle, and Peter Langstaff as the nurturing Colonel Pickering. Emma Ritchie makes her Oldcastle debut as Eliza Doolittle. Returning to Oldcastle, Trudi Posey plays the head of Mr. Higgins’ Household, Mrs Pearce.
This is a production filled with beautiful classics such as "Wouldn’t It Be Loverly" and "On The Street Where You Live", and is not one you will want to miss.
My Fair Lady runs August 15 through 31 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays at 2 p.m. Notice Sunday August 17th is at 3 p.m. after the Bennington Battle Day parade!
