Northshire Seniors' event

MANCHESTER -- The Northshire Seniors have a bus trip planned for Wednesday, July 9. They will be going to see "Damn Yankees" at the New London Barn Theater in New Hampshire. They will stop to eat at the Weathervane Restaurant in West Lebanon before the show. The cost is $15. Thrift shop open Wednesday

JOHNSONVILLE, N.Y. -- The Thrift Shop at Christ United Methodist Church just south off Route 67 is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon. Most clothing items are priced at $1 per bag.

Community yoga

BENNINGTON -- Enjoy a gentle yoga class free of charge, led by Laurae Coburn, Ph.D. RYT every Wednesday evening at The Bennington School, 192 Fairview St. from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

Grafton community-wide Geocache Treasure Hunt

GRAFTON, N.Y. -- Grafton Community Library will host a free program at 10:30 a.m. to introduce the Grafton Town-Wide Geocache Treasure Hunt. Lisa Hoyt from Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center will provide an orientation to Geocaching, a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game for children and adults alike that uses GPS-enabled devices.

Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache container hidden at that location. Eight Grafton organizations have hidden geocaches somewhere on their property. Participants will have until August 9 to find them. Each geocache contains a prize. Young people who participate will also win tickets for the Library's Summer Reading Program raffles. Participating organizations include Berkshire Bird Paradise, Dyken Pond EEC, Everett Wagar Senior Center, Grafton Lakes State Park, Grafton Historical Society, Grafton Peace Pagoda, and the Town of Grafton. 'Story Lab' at Bennington Library

BENNINGTON -- Come to Bennington Free Library for "Story Lab" with "Ms. H20." Be a super scientist. Experiment and explore different science principles with Ms. H20 as your guide. Storytime for 3 to 6 year olds, parents and caregivers Event is at 10:30 a.m. in the Rotary Room.

Monday's story, "A theatrical holiday weekend at Hubbard Hall," was changed from its original version to reflect the actual organizer of the revisited "Fiddle Weekend," George Wilson. Also, the founder of children's theater at Hubbard Hall was Allison Caldwell, not Lester Birnbaum.
