CAMBRDGE, N.Y. The Saratoga-based Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust has awarded Hubbard Hall Projects, Inc. a $20,186 grant to upgrade theater lighting in its historic opera house. "We are extremely grateful to the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust for this grant, which will help our audience members experience many magical moments for years to come," said HHP Board Member Connie Brooks.

The grant will be used to upgrade the theater lighting in the 1878 opera house in Cambridge, N.Y., which is currently home to hundreds of concerts, plays, and events every year. Next up is the Hubbard Hall Theater Company’s performance of King Lear which opens Friday, Feb. 28.

"Hubbard Hall’s intimate performance space is renowned," said Executive Director Benjie White, "but only if the audience members can fully see the dancers’ feet flying, the facial asides of Figaro, or the interplay of hands on the piano. This grant will enable us to enhance the experience for all of our audience members."
