BRATTLEBORO -- "A Very Brady 70s Show" is running at New England Youth Theatre through Oct. 20 at NEYT, 100 Flat St.
Jane Baker, who co-directs with Taylor Patno, calls it Throwback Theater. However you name it, "A Very Brady 70’s Show" recalls the television phenomenon that taught generations how to have a "Sunshine Day," that sometimes it’s "Time to Change" and that Davey Jones really wants you to "Look what you’ve done to him."
Although canceled in 1974, The Brady Bunch has never left the airwaves since its birth in 1968. Spawning movies, spin-off TV shows, specials and books, Bradymania could very well go on forever.
At each performance, NEYT will bring to life three different Brady originals on the stage. The episodes, true to the original scripts, will reveal the ultimate in parenting skills, along with model child behavior. Complete with a trivia contest that will result in only the grooviest prizes, this theater experience will make you remember what it is to "not play ball in the house."
Performances are on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m., with matinees on Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.
