MONTPELIER (AP) - Cold temperatures are around the corner.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for southern Vermont and New Hampshire late Friday night through Saturday morning.

Widespread frost and below freezing temperatures in the 20s are expected, which means an end to the growing season.

The watch covers Bennington and Windham counties in Vermont and Grafton and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire.
