BENNINGTON —Two Bennington residents are expected in court after being charged with the sale of narcotics at two separate times.
A prolonged investigation by the Vermont State Police has resulted in the execution of two search warrants; one on June 24 and the other on July 15.
Nicole Bishop, 24, was arrested on Route 9 in Woodford last month. Her charges consisted of the sale of narcotic drugs, conspiracy to distribute narcotic drugs and reckless endangerment of a child for selling drugs in the presence of a child, according to a release from Shaftsbury Trooper Luke Hall.
The second search involved state troopers, the Southern Vermont Drug Task Force and the Bennington Police Department into a residence on Jefferson Avenue. On Friday, police seized narcotic pills, three firearms and $1,437 from 23-year-old Andrew Struthers. He was arrested and charged with the sale of narcotic drugs, conspiracy to distribute narcotic drugs, possession of narcotics and a firearm in the commission of a crime.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 18. Bishop's hearing is to be announced for early August.
