Man cited for DUI

BENNINGTON -- Vermont State Police said they cited Marty Nolet, 37, of Bennington, with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was pulled over Monday at 2 a.m. on Northside Drive and given field sobriety exercises. He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on July 14. Man arrested with nearly pound of marijuana

NORTH BENNINGTON -- State Police said a traffic stop Sunday led them to arrest a Michigan man for allegedly having just under a pound of marijuana in a back pack.

Joseph Stern, 23, was cited for possession of more than two ounces of marijuana. Vermont State Trooper Elliot Justinger said he could smell the drug while speaking with Stern.

Rock thrown through window

ARLINGTON -- State Police said that sometime between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. a rock was thrown through a window at 67 Covered Bridge Road. Police are treating it as a vandalism incident.

Motorcycle crash

READSBORO -- A motorcyclist received a shoulder injury and a cut to his face when he crashed on Route 8.

State Police said at 3 p.m. a 2004 Harley Davidson driven by Matthew Clark, 40, of West Point, N.

Y., tried to take a turn and ran across some loose stones. This caused him to go off the road.

The motorcycle sustained cosmetic damage while Clark was taken to the hospital. No tickets were issued.

Woman cited for domestic assault

WOODFORD -- State Police cited a woman for allegedly assaulting another.

On Friday at 1:08 p.m. police were sent to a home on Route 9 where it was reported that a a disturbance had occurred between two females. Nicole M. Sweet, 34, was cited to appear on June 23 in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Unit to answer a charge of misdemeanor domestic assault.

Reward offered for information on fire damage

MANCHESTER -- State Police fire investigators say flame damage to the side of an apartment building was likely caused by a human.

The damage to the exterior of 22 Jade Circle was discovered June 10 at 4:08 p.m. and reported to the Manchester Fire Department, who told Manchester Police.

Up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest. Those with info should contact Manchester Police at 802-362-2121 or the Vermont Arson Tip Reward Program at 1-800-32-ARSON.
