ARLINGTON - State police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 313 West and Route 7A in Arlington at approximately 9 a.m. on Monday. According to a press release, both vehicles already were out of the roadway when police arrived at the scene. Joshua Bauscher, 25, of Cambridge N.Y. was taking a left hand turn onto Route 7A when he pulled in front of a vehicle operated by Darthaniel Cassan, 32, of Arlington. Cassan tried to evade Bauscher's vehicle, but was unsuccessful. Bauscher's 1998 Honda Accord suffered extensive damage to the front end, while Cassan's 1994 Toyota Camry was reported as totaled. Neither driver reported any injuries to the police. The weather that night was rainy with pockets of dense fog, which police believe contributed to the accident. Bauscher was ticketed for the crash.

Saturation patrol in area
SHAFTSBURY - State police performed what they are referring to as a "saturation patrol," on Route 7 in Shaftsbury and Sunderland on Tuesday. Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., state police troopers pulled over 6 vehicles, issuing four tickets and two written warnings, all for speeding, equaling $850 in fines.

SHAFTSBURY - At approximately 1:33 p.m. on Friday, state police received a 911 call from 632 Holy Smoke Road in Shaftsbury, stating there was an active domestic dispute in progress.

Arllington man involved in Rockingham crash
ROCKINGHAM - State police responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash in Rockingham at approximately 3:31 a.m. Clay Knight, 20, of Arlington was driving his 2005 Ford Ranger north on Route 103, near Parker Hill Road, when he attempted to pass Peter Higgins, 58, of Rockingham. Knight lost control of his vehicle and slid in to the rear of Higgins' 1998 Chevrolet pickup. Both vehicles went off the road, but no one was reported injured. Neither vehicle sustained significant damage, according to the police report. The road conditions were described as icy at the time of the crash. No court action will be taken as a result of the accident.
