KILLINGTON (AP) -- Skiers and snowboarders at Vermont's Killington Resort have a new place to unwind before heading down the mountain.
On Friday, the resort opened its new 15,000-square foot Peak Lodge.
It has seating for 300 guests, a restaurant, a full-service bar and lounge areas with couches and coffee tables.
Perched near the top of the 4,100-foot Killington Peak, the lodge offers views of Vermont's Green Mountains, the White Mountains of New Hampshire and New York's Adirondacks.
The Rutland Herald reports the $7 million lodge replaces a 1967 structure that was the support building for Killington's first gondola.
The 1967 lodge was taken down in the summer of 2011.
