Car flips in Rupert

RUPERT -- A West Rupert woman flipped her car onto its passenger side late Monday morning after hitting a culvert on Ebenville Road.

Vermont State Police say that Christine Hale, 42, was driving along the icy road around noon when she hit a culvert and lost control of her 2005 Toyota SR-5, causing it to roll onto the passenger side and sustain extensive damage to both the front end and side of the vehicle.

Hale was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for evaluation but no injuries have been reported.

The crash is still under investigation by State Police. Non-life threatening injuries in Sangate crash

SANDGATE -- A Rutland woman was taken to the hospital Sunday after losing control of her vehicle and crashing at the bottom of an embankment on Hamilton Hollow Road in Sandgate.

Holly Langer, 37, was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with various non-life threatening injuries to her head, leg, chest, and abdomen, according to police. The 37-year-old slid out of a driveway, across the road and down the embankment, eventually coming to an uncontrolled stop and crashing her 2004 Toyota 4Runner.
