With many towns unreported, CDC results unclear

BENNINGTON -- Southwest Vermont Career Development Center results could not be called as of deadline Tuesday as five towns had yet to report results to the Banner.

Based on results from eight towns, the fiscal year 2014 budget appears it will pass with a current tally of 2,283-1,179. Results were not available for the towns of Manchester, Readsboro, Sandgate, Searsburg and Shaftsbury.

In a six-way race for four three-year terms on the school board the count was: Leon Johnson (1,997), Francis Kinney (1,920), Gloria Alexander (1,851), Jessica Gulley-Ward (1,695), John G. MacDonald (1,545), and Jason Mativi (909).

In another contested race for one remaining year on a term Katie Bourn is ahead of Aaron R. Sullivan by a tally of 1,684-1,049.

In a contested race for treasurer Ellen M. Strohmaier leads Laurie B. Linger by a count of 1,810-1,161.
