HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. - A Church Street man was held without bail after police said he struck an officer in the face as they attempted to
arrest him during a domestic dispute.
According to the Hoosick Falls Police Department, Wade Parker, 27, pleaded not guilty at Hoosick Falls Village Court to two counts of second degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, second degree harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. Police said that on Monday at 10:10 p.m. they responded to a home on Church Street where a woman reported that her boyfriend, Wade, was drunk and had hit her in the face. Police said they found Wade in a bedroom along with a 3-year-old. Wade was combative and uncooperative, and according to police he struck officers multiple times while they subdued him.
