SEARSBURG --- :State Police said they were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over on Vermont Route 8 in Searsburg shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.
Investigation revealed the operator Mattthew Dickinson, 19, of White River Junction lost control of his 2000 Ford pickup in rain due to hydroplaning. In an attempt to gain control of the vehicle, he over-corrected and left the travel portion of the roadway, police said.
The vehicle rolled over hitting several trees before coming to a complete stop, police said, and was considered totaled. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.
State Police expressed the importance of putting good tires on your vehicles, as winter approaches.
