HARTFORD (AP) -- Dartmouth College says a man who was struck by at least two cars on a Vermont highway was a first-year graduate student at the Ivy League school.
Police are still investigating the death of 24-year-old Mikhail Lomakin of Norwich, who was struck by two cars on Interstate 91 early Saturday in Hartford. In the rain and fog, both drivers said they were unable to avoid colliding with what they initially thought was a dead animal in the road.
Dartmouth’s student newspaper reports that college officials identified Lomakin as a physics graduate student.
