SHAFTSBURY -- Vermont State Police say bright sunlight caused a woman to rear-end a pickup stopped alongside Horton Hill Road in Shaftsbury last week.
Police said that just before 7 p.m. on Sept. 11, Anna Dailey, 25, of Shaftsbury was traveling west on the dirt road as the sun set in front of her. Due to the limited vision, Dailey drove into the back of Shane Brownell's Toyota Tacoma on the side of the road, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
The collision injured an 18-year-old passenger in Brownell's vehicle, Austin Walls, of Deltona, Fla., who was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with concussion symptoms, police said.
