MANCHESTER -- A Manchester man was cited with two misdemeanor charges for growing marijuana and possessing cocaine.
Vermont State Police with the Drug Task Force said Scott Whitney, 50, was in possession of one "mature" marijuana plant growing inside his residence at 131 Upper Road as well as a "personal use" amount of cocaine when a search warrant was executed Monday.
The state Drug Task Force, Mobile Enforcement Teach, with the assistance of the Manchester Police Department and the Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement Division conducted the search just after 7:30 p.m.
In addition to the two misdemeanor charges, police said further charges are anticipated.
