UPDATE - Car thefts on roads, license plate theft

READSBORO - State police said they are investigating multiple thefts from cars along half a dozen roads.

According to Vermont State Trooper James Wright, on Thursday at 6 a.m. police received theft reports from multiple vehicle along Jarvis Hill Road, Glen Road, Main Street and Depot Street. The thefts are believed to have occurred after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. A GPS unit, portable DVD player, loose change, and cash were among the items stolen.

In a separate release, Wright wrote that he is also investigating a license plate stolen from a flatbed trailer parked at the Mason home on Poor Man's Road. The theft was reported shortly before noon on Wednesday and is believed to have occurred sometime between then and Aug. 25.
