The Bennington Banner is marking the one year anniversary of Tropical Storm Irene on Aug. 28, 2011, and the horrendous flooding and destruction that followed, in a special section in Tuesday's newspaper and online. Included are numerous photos and five articles by staff writers about their experiences during the storm and that of the community and the impact of the storm, plus articles by staff writers at the North Adams Transcript, Brattleboro Reformer and Associated Press on the storm elsewhere in the region.
