WHITE CREEK, N.Y. -- Police were continuing their investigation into Saturday's fatal motor vehicle accident in White Creek.

Seventy-two-year-old Henry LaClaire of Cambridge was killed in the accident, which also injured two others, both of whom remain hospitalized at Albany Medical Center.

On Tuesday afternoon, hospital representatives listed 64-year-old Patricia LaClaire in critical condition, while the driver of the second vehicle, Linda Peters, 64, was listed in fair condition. Both received facial and internal injuries according to the initial police report.

All three individuals are residents of Cambridge, police said.

New York State Police Trooper Mark Cepiel said Tuesday the preliminary report indicated that the head-on accident occurred when the vehicle driven by Henry LaClaire crossed the center line, striking Peters' approaching vehicle. However, a cause has yet to be identified, he said, until a final incident report is filed by investigators.

The accident occurred Saturday shortly after 1 p.m., on Route 22 south of the village of Cambridge.
