CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Village water users are being told they should boil their water before consuming it.
Camebridge/Greenwich Police Chief George Bell said the New York State Department of Health has determined that chlorine levels in the water are not high enough to ensure there are no illness causing micro-organisms in the water.
Users are advised to boil their water for at least a minute before using it, or use bottled water. The boil water notice will only be lifted after satisfactory water samples are collected over two consecutive days, according to a notice from the health department.
