CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- On Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m., Hubbard Hall Projects, Inc. is pleased to announce a Music from Salem chamber music concert, featuring the Boston Conservatory Honors String Quartet in collaboration with Music from Salem directors Lila Brown, Judith Gordon, and Rhonda Rider.
The captivating young Boston Conservatory Honors String Quartet (David Do, Hyun Jeong Helen Lee, violins; John Batchelder, viola; and Byron Hogan, cello) joins forces with MfS directors (Lila Brown, viola; Judith Gordon, piano; and Rhonda Rider, cello), in a lush and romantic program of two all-time favorite chamber music masterpieces: Schumann’s piano quintet and Tchaikovsky’s sextet "Souvenir of Florence". This red-hot program will vanquish any remains of winter chill!
The April 7 concert will take place at 2 p.m. at historic Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, N.Y. Admission is pay what you can, so everyone can attend. (recommeded amount: $20). At 4 p.m., Music from Salem invites you to our 4th Viennese Kaffeehaus Benefit at the lovely Rice Mansion Inn, 16 West Main St., Cambridge, NY, following the MfS Spring concert at Hubbard Hall.
Enjoy Viennese torten, kaffeeschokolade, coffee, tea - and live chamber music. This has become a much-anticipated intimate event that offers a small treat of the musical summer ahead. Members of the Boston Conservatory Honors String Quartet and the local German club will provide delights for the ears and tastebuds in this cozy, casual benefit.
