Nan Wilson artist reception
July 28, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nan Wilson, a native of upstate New York, first combined her interest in art and nature while exploring the "forever wild" terrain of the Adirondack Mountains. Developing a special interest in wildflowers and uncultivated plants, she was captivated also by the creatures that landed on them and flew overhead. Her art takes unexpected twists and turns that follow her adventures – expressing her vision of the natural world and her concern for its protection. She will be exhibiting about 10 of her paintings, which will be available for purchase and will be perfect for wedding and birthday gifts.
