BENNINGTON >> Grace Christian School is pleased to announce that it's students filled 43 shoeboxes full of toys, school supplies and toiletries for Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse whose purpose is to reach children around the world with basic necessities and teach them about God's love.

Jennifer Morse, coordinator of this event for GCS, stated "This is such a wonderful experience for our student body. They learn that there are many children in this world that are less fortunate and that they can do something about it. It is a joy to watch the students as they are filling the boxes. They are filled with such excitement as they carefully select each item, whether it be a toothbrush, pencil or toy." Morse went on to state, "It is always quite exciting for the students later in the year to hear which countries received our boxes."

Grace Christian has participated in this ministry for several years, and in doing so has impacted children in the following areas/countries: Ukraine, Zimbawe, Georgia, Angola, Haiti, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, St. Kitts, Indian Ocean Islands, and Southwest Asia.
