A free screening of the documentary "Gasland Part II" will be offered at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Bronfman Science Center auditorium at Williams College, 18 Hoxsey St.

Filmmaker Josh Fox uses his trademark dark humor to examine the dangers of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, the controversial method of extracting natural gas.

Following the screening, viewers can stay to discuss their reactions to the film, its local relevance, and options for a cleaner energy future.

The screening is sponsored by Bridget Spann of Caretaker Farm Community Supported Agriculture and Sarah Gardner of the Williams College Center for Environmental Studies.
