In conjunction with Williams College Reunion Weekend, Images Cinema is hosting two documentaries, "Within Reach" and "Getting Back to Abnormal," each with the films’ producers, and "Frozen," the animated Disney musical whose Oscar-winning hit, "Let it Go" was co-written by Williams alum Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
"Within Reach" will be screened at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 12. The film follows Mandy and Ryan as they "bike-pack" around the USA in search of a sustainable community. Admission is free.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion with the film’s producer Amanda Creighton, as well as Brent Wasser of the Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives, Brigdet Spann of Caretaker Farm CSA, and Robin Lenz of Higher Ground.
"Getting Back to Abnormal" will screen at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, with producer/director Paul Stekler. The documentary offers a provocative and amusing look at race in America, set against the backdrop of New Orleans’ rich culture. Admission is free.
"Frozen" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14. Regular ticket prices apply; free with Williams College Reunion button.
All three films are sponsored by Williams College Alumni Relations. Images Cinema is located at 50 Spring St.
