ALBANY, N.Y. -- Thousands of Price Chopper guests throughout the Northeast showed their support of the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The company raised an astonishing $336,171 for individuals living with a neuromuscular disease.
Price Chopper's unprecedented annual support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association helps MDA fund its many vital research programs, a nationwide network of some 200 hospital-affiliated clinics, an extraordinary summer camp program for hundreds of local children, and other essential services throughout N.Y., N.H., Mass., Conn., Pa., and Vt. in which Price Chopper has a footprint.
Price Chopper teammates encouraged guests to donate to MDA through the purchase of a $1 or $5 Shamrock. We would like to recognize Market Bistro by Price Chopper's Guest Services Manager, Tamara Julian and her team as the highest fundraising store, with a record-breaking total over $16,000! "MDA is fortunate to have the support of Price Chopper teammates, its loyal guests and the Golub family to make the campaign a success," said MDA Albany Executive Director Joelle Monaco. "Price Chopper makes it easy, convenient and fun for guests to buy a Shamrock and help those affected with muscle disease."
