Story time at Cheney Library
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Cheney Library will have story time for preschoolers and their caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Several of the classic tales and songs will be offered. There will be crafts and snacks. Plan to come with your preschool child.
Meditation for Everyone
BENNINGTON -- Meditation is held Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library. There is a $1 requested contribution if possible. Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome. Chairs are available. If you wish to sit on a cushion, bring one.

Storytime at Bennington Free Library
BENNINGTON -- "Story Rhythms for Babies & Toddlers" will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. for children 4 months to 36 months, upstairs in the Rotary meeting room at Bennington Free Library. This special time for babies and toddlers will include stories, finger plays, songs and movement that involve active participation. Come early and play. Spring Opportunity Days at Long Trail School
DORSET -- Long Trail School welcomes all current and prospective families to come and sit in on a class or two, join us for lunch and question-and-answer, and witness the opportunities at the school.
Classes in these time blocks include math, science, history, English, world languages and arts; visitors can observe middle school, upper school and mixed level classes. The event runs Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29 and 30, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hoosical Furnishings starts today
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- There will be 50 pieces, large and small, old and new and each one has been transformed by an artist from its original plain old self into a work of art at the Hoosical Furnishings celebration and art auction.
Look for the Hoosical Furnishings in windows around the village starting Tuesday, April 29. Find your favorite.
At the Hoosical Furnishings event on Saturday, May 10, all of the pieces will be at The Armory. Previews begin at 6 p.m., the bidding starts at 7 p.m. There will be a cash bar and light refreshments. Note, this is a 21-and-older only event.
Tickets are $20 and the quantity is limited. Call HAYC3 at 518-686-9050 to get your tickets. If you cannot be at the event, but would like to bid on an item, you can get an absentee bid form on the HAYC3 website. Just print it out, fill it out and mail it in.
