HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Please join the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls in welcoming two new members to the Board of Directors. Patricia Ryan of Hoosick Falls and Bill Koester of Troy have joined the not-for-profit Board.

Patty was born and currently resides in Hoosick Falls. She is a graduate of Hoosick Falls Central School, received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Hartwick College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. Patty is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor and Basic Cardiac Life Support instructor for the hospital and community. Professional interests are in cardiology, rehabilitation and patient/nursing education. Work experiences include employment at University of Pennsylvania in critical care, Albany Medical Center critical care and a 20 year employee at South Western Vermont Medical Center and currently the Nurse Coordinator in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Patty is married to Michael Ryan, and they have two daughters Madeline and Elizabeth.

Patty’s interest includes spending time with her extended family and friends, golf and gardening. Patty recently received one of the Quest awards presented to 5 employees who exemplify the SVHC Vision.

Bill is a long time Troy resident who has had an extensive career dealing with health care issues within New York State. He recently retired, leaving his position as a Division Director in the NYS Department of Health. He dealt primarily with issues of aging and long-term care. The Center is pleased to have his expertise available to aid us in this period of rapid change. Bill is married to Audrey Koester, the Head Librarian at the Albany Academies, and has two grown children, Robert and Lindsey, who are students in the medical field.
