Mini antique cars and trucks program
ARLINGTON -- The Martha Canfield Library will host a special program on "Miniature Antique Cars and Trucks" at 7 p.m.
Kevin Kees, of Shaftsbury, will speak about his collection of antique cars and trucks in miniature and show examples. Kees focuses primarily on plastic model cars and trucks. He will also present a short history of model collecting and describe how he got started in the hobby in the 1960s.
The program is free of charge and is open to everyone who is interested in this topic -- all ages welcome. Call 802-375-6153 for more information.
Southern Vermont Myeloma Support Network meeting
BENNINGTON -- The Southern Vermont Myeloma Support Network (including the Berkshires and eastern New York) will hold a support group meeting on Tuesday, April 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Community Resource Room at the SVMC Regional Cancer Center, 140 Hospital Drive. Meditation for Everyone

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Professor James Parakilas of Bates College will give a lecture titled "Inner Need/Social Bonds: The Double Life We Lead in Music" at 4:15 p.m. in Bernhard Music Center Room 30 on the Williams College campus.
Williams libraries to resume Tuesday Teas program
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- After a four-year hiatus, the Tuesday Tea series will return to Williams College in April. The program aims to celebrate Williams authors and honor their creative works. The teas will be hosted at 4 p.m. on the main level of Sawyer Library. The events are free and open to the public.
Each tea will consist of a 20-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session.
The full schedule is as follows:
- April 15: Sam Crane, Fred Greene Third Century Professor of Political Science, will discuss his book "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Dao: Ancient Chinese Thought in Modern America."
- April 22: Leslie Brown, associate professor of history, will present her book "African American Voices: A Documentary Reader from Emancipation to the Present."
- April 29: Antonia Foias, professor of anthropology, will share her book "Ancient Maya Political Dynamics."
