‘The Music of Poetry' lecture and demo
MANCHESTER -- Revel in the music of poetry at First Congregational Church at 7 p.m. This lecture-demonstration by pianist Michael Arnowitt explores the musical aspects of poetry, song lyrics, and literature. The talk offers a musician's insights on the elements of sound and time in literary composition and the similarities he hears between the literature of great writers and the music of classical composers,and pop songwriters. Arrive early to enjoy a half hour jazz performance by Arnowitt from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Meditation for Everyone

Town Hall groundbreaking ceremony

Registration for summer enrichment program
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Now in its eighth year, The HAYC3 Summer Enrichment Program for kids in kindergarten through grade six is just the right balance of fun and learning. Each of our eight week-long programs is designed to encourage children to read, imagine, create, make friends and grow in so many ways.
Children move smoothly from school to the Summer Enrichment Program and back to school again in September, more self-confident, and more self-assured in their own ability to use their imaginations, their artistic and creative skills, their agility and more.
The HAYC3 Summer Enrichment Program runs Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended hours both in the morning, starting at 7 a.m., and in the afternoon, until 6 p.m. Kids should bring a lunch; snacks will be provided. The cost is $110 per week.

Green Up Day registration
BENNINGTON -- Green Up Day is May 3 from 8 a.m. to noon. If you wish to clean an area, street or neighborhood, please call the Town Office at 802-442-1037 to register. We must know the area you will be cleaning up and where the trash will be in order to facilitate Town Collection. The Town will provide bags, however, the number may be limited so please call early.
