Violation of conditions of release

POWNAL -- At approximately 7:50 p.m. on Feb. 20, state police were notified of a possible violation of conditions of release. Domenic Thane, 22, of Pownal, is ordered to be on a 24/7 curfew at the a residence in Pownal, but police learned that he may have been in North Adams, Mass. When police arrived at the Pownal residence in an attempt to validate the allegation, they discovered that no one was present. Contact was made with Thane on Friday, Feb. 28, when he was issued a citation for the offense. He will appear in Bennington court on March 24 to answer to the charge.

Driving while suspended

MANCHESTER - On Tuesday at approximately 8:13 a.m., state police stopped Joseph G. Jaworski Jr., 31, of East Dorset on Route 7A in Manchester. The officer discovered that Jaworski's privilege to operate a motor vehicle had been criminally suspended. Jaworski was arrested and processed at the Shaftsbury State Police Barracks. He will appear in Bennington District Court on April 21.


SUNDERLAND -- At approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 1, state police conducted a motor vehicle stop for a speeding violation on Route 313 east in Sunderland. The investigation revealed that the operator, John H. Grover, 47, of Sunderland, was currently criminally suspended from operating motor vehicles in Vermont. Grover was taken into custody and issued a citation, and is to appear in Bennington court on March 31 to answer to the charge.


Driving while suspended

SHAFTSBURY - At 7:29 a.m. on Wednesday, police on Route 7 in Shaftsbury, stopped Eli G. Capen, 35, of Bennington for a motor vehicle violation. It was discovered that Capen was criminally suspended to operate a motor vehicle in Vermont. He was arrested and released on a criminal citation to appear in Bennington District Court on April 21 on the charge of criminal DLS.
