BENNINGTON - A good time and some healthy competitive bidding was had by those who attended the Fifth Annual Wintertastic Celebration & Live Auction on Saturday night at the Mount Anthony Country Club. One of the major fundraisers for The School of Sacred Heart St. Francis, the event featured a silent auction as well as a live auction for items ranging from a catered dinner for six with Father Bob Wiseman, pastor of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church to a truckload of gravel, donated by Rifenburg Construction to four lawn tickets to any Tanglewood performance this season.

"An event of this magnitude could not happen without the support of everyone in the community. We are extremely grateful to so many people and businesses who donated their time, talent and treasures of all sizes," said David Estes, principal of Sacred Heart School.

Members of the Wintertastic Celebration Committee, which put together this fundraiser, were Karen Ahearn, Ambur Balance, Wendy Beatty, Angela Bevin, Marcia Hendery, Lynn Farrell, Maru Leon Griffin, Amy Maroney, Chrissy Morrissey, Kathy Murphy and Bonna Zazzaro.
