Knights of Columbus fundraiser

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- From 7 to 10 p.m., St. Patrick's Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a fundraising record-hop style dance at the American Legion. There will be "oldies but goodies," DJ-spun music from the ‘50s to the ‘70s, free snacks, other food and drinks for sale, a cash bar, entertainment, and crepe-paper decorations recalling those dances in the gym. Suggested donation is $7. All proceeds will support K of C charitable projects.

Auditions for ‘The Jury Room'

TROY, N.Y. -- The Highlight Acting Troupe will hold auditions for "The Jury Room" by C. B. Gilford on Friday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Center Brunswick United Methodist Church, Route 7. Performance dates are in May. Leave No Trace program

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The library will welcome the Leave No Trace training team, from the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. This program is for kids, teens and families, and presents ideas on how we can enjoy the outdoors responsibly. The program is about making good decisions to protect the world around you, treating our environment with care. The program will run for about an hour, and will be held in the back lobby of the Milne Public Library at 1:30 p.m.

Jazz in the Classics

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Williams College Department of Music presents Joana Genova, violin, in a faculty recital at 8 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the college campus. The event is free and open to the public.

WRLF to hold winter open house at Sheep Hill

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bring friends and family to celebrate waning winter and maple season at Williamstown Rural Lands' Winter Open House at Sheep Hill, a conservation property and the headquarters of the WRLF, from 2 to 4 p.m. Activities will include an animal tracking and winter ecology hike, and sledding and snowshoeing on the hill if snow cover permits. Inside the farmhouse there will be maple treats to celebrate the maple syrup season. The event is open to all ages, with a suggested donation of $3.

Interfaith group to host Habitat for Humanity

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative (NBIAI) will welcome representatives from Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity at the Friday, Feb. 21, meeting at the First Baptist Church of North Adams, starting at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

The discussion will focus on the work of NBHfH and will begin a discussion on how this great organization can get area houses of worship more involved in their work.

The meeting will begin with introductions, announcements, spiritual sharing and a time of silent prayer.

The Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative is a group of people of different faiths and denominations working together with others of goodwill to serve our community. It runs the Friendship Center Food Pantry in North Adams, an emergency voucher system in Northern Berkshire, and holds monthly meetings to discuss topics and programs of civic and religious concern.
