Fabric and More group
ARLINGTON - If you are a beginner, expert, or just interested in knitting, crocheting, beading, felting or any related fabric craft, come to the new "Fabric and More" group offered at the Martha Canfield Library.
This informal, drop-in group will meet in the library's Community Room the first and second Wednesday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m., with the first meeting scheduled for Feb. 5. No fee or registration required. Drop in and finish a project, start a new hobby, and learn from friends.

Feb. 5 lecture canceled
MANCHESTER - The talk that had been scheduled for the evening of Feb. 5 by Philosophy scholar Susanne Claxton on how self-examination contributes to a richer life has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 4, due to an anticipated snowstorm.

Young Women's Softball sign-ups
BENNINGTON - Bennington Young Women's Softball 2014 softball sign-ups are for all girls ages 6 to 12 as of Jan. 1, at the Bennington Fire House on River Street on Feb. 5 and 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Still time to volunteer for PAVE
BENNINGTON - There is still time to register to volunteer for the PAVE crisis hotline. Training is will begin the week of February 17.
Volunteers are an integral part of PAVE, and become part of a valuable community-wide support system that promotes and helps create positive outcomes for individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence.
