BENNINGTON -- The sudSSpirit Bereavement Support Group will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library. The group is for those that are survivors of the sudden, unexpected death of their spouse of significant other. No registration is required, and it is free. For more information, call 802-441-5562.

Families Together caregiver gathering
BENNINGTON -- Are you caring for a loved one? Bennington Project Independence, Adult Day Service, partners with families to share information and problem solve to make caregiving for a loved one easier.
Families Together meets at BPI on the last Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public.

MANCHESTER -- This week only, tickets are on sale at Mark Skinner Library and Burr and Burton Academy Development Office for the Taste of Morocco dinner being put on by BBA students going on the service trip to Morocco this April break. Tickets are $30 for a 3-course authentic Moroccan feast. Advance tickets only. Vegetarian option is available with advance notice. The main course is a delicious chicken and apricot tagine with couscous, mint tea and pastries for dessert. There will also be henna tattoos and a Moroccan photo booth where you can have your picture taken in authentic garb (so bring a little extra money). Come and support our trip in a delicious way.

Open house at CAT-TV
BENNINGTON -- Catamount Access Television covers meetings, answers questions, instructs classes, encourages people to use their talents in planning, producing and directing their own programs.
Please join the staff of CAT-TV on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 5:30 until 6:45 p.m. as they open their offices at 625 Main St. to members of the community, who are curious and want to learn more about the organization and become new members. Join them for the structured open house (arrive at 5:30 p.m. and leave at 6:45 p.m.).
People that live, work or go to school full time in Woodford, Bennington, Pownal, North Bennington and Shaftsbury can become members for free. Others living outside of these areas can become a member for a nominal fee. Many folks who have taken courses at CAT-TV achieve great benefits from their training and work done at the studio. BENNINGTON -- An article on the January 2013 drug sweep that ran in Saturday's edition contained an error regarding Andrew Brainerd. It should have read that he pleaded guilty to sale of hallucinogens while having a hallucinogen possession charge dropped.
