5th annual ‘Stuff the Bus'

BENNINGTON -- Green Mountain RSVP, Green Mountain Express and Price Chopper will once again partner to hold Stuff the Bus. The event will take place at the beginning of the Martin Luther King Weekend to honor his vision of neighbors banding together to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty.

On Friday, Jan. 17, and Saturday, Jan. 18, volunteers will welcome shoppers and urge them to purchase a little extra to Stuff the Bus.

The non-perishable items will then be distributed each evening to local food pantries. The most needed itemss are pasta, sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal, soup, canned vegetables, baby food and diapers, personal care items and pet food.

Northern Berkshire Contra Dance

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Northern Berkshire Contra Dance will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 906 Main St.

Admission is $10 per person. This is a non-profit event. Dance admission funds use of space and live performers. Live music by Eric Buddington on fiddle, Tony Pisano on accordion and Josh Pisano on percussion. Dance teaching and calling is by Peter Stix. This is an all ages and levels welcomed dance.
