Bennington County Beekeepers
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington County Beekeepers Club will meet in the Crispe Room at the Vermont Veterans Home at 7 p.m. There will be a pot luck meal and a 7:30 p.m. business meeting. Community HU Chant
BENNINGTON -- At 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library. In our fast-paced world, are you looking to find more inner peace? Chanting HU, this once-secret name for God, has helped people throughout time find inner peace and divine love. All are welcome to a free half-hour HU chant; this HU Chant is sponsored by ECKANKAR, the Religion of the Light and Sound of God, a spiritual teaching that provides simple exercises for people of all faiths, traditions, and walks of life to deepen a conscious and practical relationship with spirit. Bingo in Pownal
POWNAL -- American Legion Post 90 in Pownal holds bingo on Thursdays. Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. promptly. There will be two progressive games, and a snack bar will be available.

Annual ‘Stuff the Bus' event
BENNINGTON -- Green Mountain RSVP, Green Mountain Express and Price Chopper will once again partner to hold Stuff the Bus.
The event will take place at the beginning of the Martin Luther King Weekend to honor his vision of neighbors banding together to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty. On Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18, volunteers will welcome shoppers and urging them to purchase a little extra to Stuff the Bus.
The non-perishable items will then be distributed each evening to local food pantries. The most-donated foods are pasta, sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal, soup, canned vegetables, baby food and diapers, personal care items and pet food.
