Bereavement support group
BENNINGTON -- A weekly adult grief support for those who have lost a loved one is held every Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vermont Veterans Home on North Street. For more information call VNA & Hospice of SVHC at 802-442-5502.
Bennington Senior Center activities
BENNINGTON -- Every Tuesday in January the Bennington Seniors Center will be hosting bone builders from 10 to 11:30 a.m. RSVP. The center will also host HELP from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Call 442-1052.
American Legion meetings
BENNINGTON -- The American Legion will hold its January meeting at 7 p.m. This is a change due to the holiday schedule.
Legion Auxiliary and Sons meet
POWNAL -- American Legion Auxiliary will hold its meeting at Pownal Post 90 at 7 p.m. The Sons of The American Legion will also hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend. Members wanting to join should also attend. Applications are available at the post. Open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 3 to 10 p.m.

BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Lions will hold its January board meeting in the TD Bank Conference Room starting at 5:30 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.

Bingo Tuesdays at Bennington Moose Lodge
BENNINGTON -- Bingo is held every Tuesday at the Bennington Moose lodge. Doors open at 5 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available.
Story Time at Cheney Library
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Cheney Library holds a story time for preschoolers and their caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Several of the classic tales and songs will be offered. There will be crafts and snacks. Plan to come with your preschool child.
Arlington Legion bingo
ARLINGTON -- Arlington American Legion Post #69 will hold bingo. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7. Any questions, call 802-375-6157. Bingo will be the first Tuesday and third Tuesday from October to May. Come and have some fun with your friends.
Meditation for everyone
BENNINGTON -- Meditation has been practiced for millennia, and is a way for the mind to begin to know itself. This knowing moves us towards freedom, self-acceptance, kindness and compassion. Our hearts become more open. We move towards happiness.
Meditation will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at The Bennington Free Library. There will be a $1 requested contribution if possible. Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome. Chairs available. If you wish to sit on a cushion, then bring one. Sessions facilitated by: Randy Anselmo, Maggie Bernstein, John Hearst, Natasha Judson, Eve Pearce and Jane Schaeffer.
