Bennington Town Offices closed

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Town Offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the holiday. Offices will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 8 a.m.

New Year's Day Breakfast

ARLINGTON -- Red Mountain Chapter No.41 Order of the Eastern Star will hold the annual New Year's Day Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at the Masonic Lodge on East Arlington Road, next to mack molding. A large selection of breakfast items will be available for a $6.50 donation. The community is invited to attend. Tickets will be available at the door. The Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong. For information on the breakfast or The Eastern Star contact Kathy Cotrofeld at 375-6782.

Come to Hoosick swearing in

HOOSICK, N.Y. -- The public is invited to the swearing in ceremony of our newly elected Town of Hoosick officials on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 1p.m. at the Hoosick Armory.

The short ceremony will be followed by light fare. Come and celebrate a new beginning for the Town with Hoosick Supervisor Mark Surdam, Councilmen Jeff Wysocki and Dave Sutton, Highway Superintendent Bill Shiland, Town Judge Tom Restino and Town Clerk Sue Stradinger.
