BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Lions will hold its November board meeting today, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the TD Bank Conference Room. All members are urged to attend.

Southern Vermont Beekeepers to meet
MANCHESTER -- Southern Vermont Beekeepers Association will hold its fall meeting at 7 p.m, at the Manchester and the Mountains Chamber of Commerce on Bonnet Street. Topics include a review of the recent honey harvest, upcoming winter projects and planning for the next year of beekeeping.
SVBA is a resource to area beekeepers who want to start a hive, those with a few hives and those with a commercial beekeeping operation. SVBA provides education, mentoring, presentations and services to our members. Newcomers welcome. Bingo in Arlington
ARLINGTON -- Arlington American Legion Post No. 69 is starting up bingo on Oct. 1. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7. Any questions, call 375-6157. Bingo will be the first Tuesday and third Tuesday from October to May 2014.

Story time at Cheney Library
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Cheney Library will have story time for preschoolers and their caregivers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Several of the classic tales and songs. There will be crafts and snacks. Plan to come with your preschool child; it will be lots of fun for both of you.
