Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter DAR to meet
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- The first meeting of the 2013-2014 year for the Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be held at noon at the Red Roost Restaurant on Route 22. Lunch will be ordered from the menu with separate checks. There will be a ritual and business meeting. The program topic will be "Washington County Historical Society as a Research Center for Genealogy."
Any woman who believes she is eligible to join the DAR may call the regent at 518-677-3324. Eligibility is based on the Revolutionary War service of a direct ancestor. Chapter members reside primarily in Cambridge, Shushan, Buskirk, Greenwich, Hoosick Falls and Bennington, Vt. Visitors are welcome. Northshire non-profit meeting
MANCHESTER -- The Northshire Non-profit Network will meet at
GNAT at 8 a.m. Speakers will be Tammie Reilly, director of GNAT, and Diana Carroll, county outreach coordinator of NeighborWorks. These speakers will provide an overview of the specific geographic area they serve, the purpose of their programs, as well as how needs are addressed. There will be time for discussion as well as time for networking.
The Northshire Non-profit Network is a collaborative group of non-profits in southwest Vermont who meet on a monthly basis to share ideas on specific topics and network together for the mutual benefit of each organization.
