Dinner for those in need

BENNINGTON -- Congregation Beth El sponsors a community dinner for those in need on the last Monday of every month at 5 p.m.

BENNINGTON -- Every Monday, the Bennington Elks hosts bingo. There will be a $1,000 jackpot and 31 games for $13. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 7 p.m. The Bennington Elks is located at 125 Washington Ave.

Bennington Free Clinic Monday hours

BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Free Clinic has added Monday hours, in addition to its Thursday schedule. It will be open from 10 a.m. to noon at the First Baptist Church, at 601 Main St. Call for an appointment, 447-3700. Drop-ins will not be seen.

Senior Center activities

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Senior Center activities for today will include oil painting from 9 a.m. to noon; walking aerobics from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; bridge/cards from 1 to 4 p.m.; and belly dance from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Bingo at Pownal Legion

POWNAL -- Pownal American Legion Post No. 90 offers bingo every Thursday evening. Doors and concession open at 5 p.m. There will be 30 games, including three progressive jackpots, door prizes, raffles, and family fun.

Bennington Free Clinic

BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Free Clinic is held each Thursday starting at 6 p.m. This clinic is for uninsured people 18 years of age or older, who would other wise fall through the cracks of our fractured health care system. It is located in the First Baptist

Community contra dance

BENNINGTON -- From 7:30 to10:30 p.m., Bennington Contradance will presents its "first Friday" intergenerational community dance at the One World Conservation Center (former Howard Johnson's) just south of downtown Bennington on Route 7.

Live music will be by the folk group Calamity Physics. The dance begins at 7:30. Everyone is welcome, all dances are taught, and no partner or experience is necessary. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for under 12. For more information, email info@benningtondance.org or call 802-447-2173.

Snowmobile Club annual event

POULTNEY -- The Model T Ford Snowmobile Club of America will hold its annual winter event from Friday through Sunday, in conjunction with the Poultney Snowmobile Club's Winter Carnival. The location will be at the fields owned by Chesnut Family on York Street Extension. Admission is free.

Annual spaghetti and pasta dinner

BENNINGTON -- The annual spaghetti and pasta dinner at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall will begin at 5 p.m.

There will be several pastas, including spaghetti and meatballs, with two types of sauces-both meat and meatless, a huge salad bar with several dressings, fresh Italian bread, desserts and beverages.

Take out will be available. The cost will be adults, $10; children, $5; and a family of two adults and two children, $25.

Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall is handicap accessible, has plenty of parking, and is located at 236 Main St. For more information, contact the parish office at 802-442-3141.

'Miss Page Turner' visits library

MANCHESTER -- Miss Page Turner will visit the Mark Skinner Library at 10:30 a.m. Join her for a family Valentine's story and craft program to be held upstairs in the Children's Room. This program is free and open to the public.
