Bennington Rec. swim lessons

BENNINGTON -- A new session of swim lessons for children will start Monday, Jan. 28, and will run to Thursday, Feb. 14. Levels 2, 3, 4, 5 are from 4 to 4:30 p.m., and level 1 is from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Lessons are Monday through Thursday. Residents must have a membership and pay the $5, registration fee. Non-residents have the option of purchasing a membership or paying $3 per lessons

More positions up in Woodford

WOODFORD -- In addition to a three-year seat on the school board and three-year seat on the Select Board in Woodford, the town clerk and treasurer position is also up for election in March. Petitions to get on the Town Meeting Day ballot must be returned to the town clerk by Jan. 28

Deadlines for annual vote

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Cambridge Central School District Clerk Kate Mattison has released the calendar for the school district’s annual budget vote to be held in May.

Petitions to place a proposition on the ballot at the annual budget vote in May must be received in the District Clerk’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 4.

There will be one vacancy on the board of education. Submission of petitions for nomination of board candidates must be filed with the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 8. Petitions are available in the district clerk’s office. The annual budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14. The annual budget vote and election will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from noon to 8 p.m.
