First winter market of 2013
BENNINGTON -- The Walloomsac Farmers Market will hold its first 2013 winter market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, on the corner of West Main and Valentine Streets. Winter markets will continue to be held the first and third Saturday of each month through April. Masonic Bingo
BENNINGTON -- Masonic Bingo, 504 Main St., held every Saturday at 6:30 p.m., except major holidays. Doors open 5 p.m. Snacks and beverages available.
Cheney Library book sale
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- There will be a January clearance sale at the Cheney Library between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. All hardcover books will be just 50 cents and all paperbacks and children's books will be only 25 cents.

American Legion Post 13 Bingo
BENNINGTON -- American Legion Post 13 Bingo, 225 Northside Drive, holds bingo at 3 p.m. every Sunday. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. No one under 14 admitted.
VFW breakfast
BENNINGTON -- VFW Post 1332 will host a
Senior Breakfast from 8 a.m. till gone. The breakfast is held on the first Sunday of every month.
Calling all wise women
BENNINGTON -- "Gathering the Grandmothers" takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 108 School St. The focus will be "Gifts from Our Ancestors." New women are always welcome. The fee is $15 to $20 per person.

Aqua Zumba
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Recreation Center is offering another session of Aqua Zumba starting Monday, Jan. 7. Register by Jan. 7 for a fee of $50 for the six-week session. After Jan. 7 a $6 drop-in fee or a punch card will only be accepted. The classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
