Moose Lodge bingo

BENNINGTON -- Bingo is held at the Bennington Moose Lodge every Wednesday. Doors open at 5 p.m., and food available. There will be a $500 "Red Special."

Senior Center activities

BENNINGTON -- Bennington Senior Center activities will include a Holiday Pot Luck beginning at noon at the Bennington Firehouse. Ladies Night Out in Arlington

ARLINGTON -- Ladies are invited to come laugh, relax and enjoy the company of other tired moms and grandmoms for a night of games and fun. It will be held at the Arlington Community House, on Route 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. All ladies of all ages are invited to join in the fun and relaxation. Bring a can of food for the Arlington Food Shelf or $1 for the Community House.

SILC/VCIL public forums

BENNINGTON -- The Vermont Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC), in conjunction with the Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL), will present a series of simultaneous public forums around the State on Wednesday from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. to gather public input on the next state plan for Independent Living (SPIL) which spans federal fiscal years 2014 to 2016.

The site of the Bennington County forum will be the Senior Citizens Center and Vermont Interactive TV studio at 124 Pleasant St., Bennington. All members of the public are invited to participate.

Board of Abatement

The Board of Abatement for Bennington, Vermont will be meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at the Town Clerk's Office, 205 South Street, Bennington, Vermont. Our only requests for Abatement are those presented by Town Treasurer, Joan Pinsonneault, primarily abandoned mobile homes.

Please keep in mind, in order to proceed with the meeting, we must have a quorum. It will not be a long meeting so if at all possible, please try to attend.
